Author Guidelines

Welcome to the Books For A Better World Journal submission portal! We appreciate your interest in submitting to our journal. Please read the following guidelines carefully before preparing and submitting your manuscript. Adhering to these standards will help ensure a smooth review process and improve the readability of your work.

1. General Submission Guidelines

• Manuscript Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format. PDF submissions will not be accepted.
• Language: All manuscripts must be written in English. If English is not your first language, we recommend that you have your manuscript professionally edited before submission.
• Length: The manuscript should not exceed 1.000 words, including abstract, references, and tables. Longer submissions may be considered at the discretion of the editor.
• File Structure: Manuscripts should include the following sections in order:
  1. Title page (with full author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details).
  2. Abstract (maximum 80 words).
  3. Main text (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion).
  4. References (formatted as per the guidelines below).
  5. Tables and figures (should be embedded in the text or included as separate files).

2. Manuscript Structure

2.1 Title Page

• The title page must contain the following details:
  • Full title of the manuscript.
  • List of all authors (with first name, last name, and affiliations).
  • Corresponding author (email address and full contact details).
  • Acknowledgments (if any).

2.2 Abstract

• Provide a concise summary of the manuscript, no more than 80 words.
• The abstract should briefly cover the research question, methods, major results, and conclusions.

2.3 Keywords

• Provide 3-5 keywords that best represent the content of the article.
• These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.

2.4 Main Body

• The main text should be divided into clear sections, such as Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
• Introduction: Clearly define the research problem, its significance, and objectives.
• Methods: Describe the experimental or analytical methods used.
• Results: Present findings with relevant figures, tables, and statistical analysis.
• Discussion: Interpret the results, compare with existing literature, and provide implications for practice or future research.

3. Citation and Referencing Guidelines

Please ensure that all references are properly formatted according to the following standards.

3.1 In-text Citations

• Citations should be in the following format:
  • For a single author: (Smith, 2020)
  • For two authors: (Smith & Jones, 2020)
  • For three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2020)
• If citing multiple sources: (Smith, 2020; Jones, 2019)

3.2 Reference List Format

• The reference list should be in alphabetical order.
• Ensure that every citation in the manuscript appears in the reference list and vice versa.

Common Citation Formats:

• Books:
  Author(s). (Year). Title of the book. Edition (if applicable). Publisher.
  Example: Smith, J. (2020). Research Methods in Science. 2nd ed. Academic Press.

• Journal Articles:
  Author(s). (Year). Title of the article. Title of the Journal, Volume(Issue), page range.
  Example: Johnson, M., & Williams, L. (2018). The impact of climate change on urban ecosystems. Environmental Studies Journal, 15(4), 245-260.

• Edited Book Chapters:
  Author(s) of the chapter. (Year). Title of the chapter. In Editor(s) (Ed(s).), Title of the book (pp. page range). Publisher.
  Example: Davis, R. (2017). The ethics of research. In J. Smith & T. Clark (Eds.), Ethics in Research (pp. 120-135). Oxford University Press.

4. Figures and Tables

• Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and referenced within the main text.
• Provide a brief caption for each table and figure.
• Ensure that figures and tables are clear and legible. High-resolution images (300 dpi) are preferred.

5. Ethics and Plagiarism

• All research should be conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines. If your manuscript involves human or animal subjects, you must include a statement about the ethical approval from an appropriate review board.
• The journal uses plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of submitted work. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.

6. Submission Process

1. Initial Submission: Submit your manuscript through the Books For A Better World Journal online submission portal. You will need to create an account or log in if you already have one.
2. Peer Review: Upon submission, your manuscript will undergo peer review. You may be asked to revise your manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
3. Revisions: If your manuscript is accepted with minor/major revisions, submit the revised manuscript along with a summary of changes made.
4. Final Acceptance: Once your manuscript has been approved by the editors, you will be notified of its acceptance and scheduled for publication.

7. Additional Notes

• Ensure that all co-authors are aware of and approve the final manuscript.
• Authors are encouraged to include their ORCID ID when submitting.
• If your manuscript is accepted, you will be asked to sign a copyright transfer agreement or a licensing agreement, depending on the journal's policy.
